Tournament Rules

By participating in this tournament, teams and players agree that they have read and understood all the rules listed in this document.

The tournament referees reserve the right to make decisions that deviate from the rules to preserve the integrity and fair play of the competition.

The staff also reserves the right to correct the rules at any time.


1. Requirements

  • Players must have a GameShard account with a linked League of Legends (EUW) gameaccount
  • Playing and residing in Europe
  • Players must be part of a GameShard team which has at least 2 people
  • Players must be present on the tournament's Discord server.

1.1. Gameaccount

All players who want to take part in the tournament must use their League of Legends account. It is therefore not possible to use accounts that are not suitable for playing custom games.


1.2. Players

The use of non-team players may result in a disqualification from the tournament.


2. Tournament Information

  • Format: 2v2
  • Map: Howling Abyss
  • You will play with the latest enabled patch.
  • The bracket will be randomly generated among all tournament members.
  • Teams must consist of 2 players.
  • All champions and all summoner spells are allowed.
  • Each team is allowed to ban 3 champions.
  • The game pause will be enabled, however each team will have a maximum of 10 minutes at their disposal.
  • Victory will be determined by the destruction of the opposing Nexus.
  • The team on the left of the match page can choose the side of the map

2.2.1. Tournament Code

As soon as a match is ready to be played the tournament code will be visible on the players’ match page. Additionally, each player will receive an email and a notification on the site, containing the match code and instructions to start the game.


2.2.2. Timing

Once the bracket is generated, all matches must be played as soon as possible. The match times indicated on the site are indicative only.


3. Issues

Any problem must be immediately reported to a referee through the dedicated channel in the official Discord Server of the tournament.


3.1. Technical problems

Players are responsible for their hardware, software and internet connection. Matches will not be moved or temporarily suspended in case of technical problems.


3.2. Forfait

If a player or team is unable to play a match, they must report this to a Referee before the match begins.


3.2.1. No show

If within 15 minutes the opposing team does not show up in the lobby, the game integration will automatically award the victory to the team that is in the lobby. To score the automatic victory, the team must wait in the match lobby for 15 minutes. Not showing up for a match will therefore automatically lead to defeat. No points will be awarded in this case. Please notify a referee immediately via the dedicated Discord server in case of any issues.


3.3. Bans and Picks

In case of an error in the selection of Bans and Picks, it will not be possible to repeat the procedure. A tournament referee should be notified immediately if any issues arise in this regard.


3.4. Placeholder

The use of placeholders is prohibited in any case. A tournament referee should be notified immediately if any issues arise in this regard.


4. Violations of the Summoner's Code & Riot ToS

Throughout the duration of the tournament, the same prohibitions set out in the Summoner's Code and Riot Games Terms of Service apply, including:

  • Account Sharing
  • Elo Boosting
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior
  • Cheating / Hacking

All violations will be reported to Riot Games. In the event that you think that a player or a team has broken one of the Summoner's Code, it is necessary to contact the referees through the tournament Discord, attaching evidence that can attest to the actual occurrence. Any disputes that do not have accurate evidence will not be taken into consideration. The tournament referees reserve the right to determine the outcome of the disputes.


5. Sanctions by Riot Games

In the event that the account of one of the players is subject to sanctions by Riot Games, the teams are required to contact the referees immediately. The player in question is not allowed to play any match of the competition.


6. Disqualification

Insults and blasphemies are not allowed. Tournament Officials may disqualify contestants that do not follow the rules.


7. Streaming

Contestants are allowed to stream matches. Streaming must be confirmed with your own opponent. Streaming must be posted in the dedicated Discord channel.


8. Prizing

  • 1st Place: 2x Mystery Gift + 2x Summoner Icon + 2x 500K Economy points to spend in TPF Discord Server
  • Runner Up: 2x Summoner Icon + 2x 250K Economy points to spend in TPF Discord Server


8.1. Prize Distribution

The prizes shall be distributed to the respective winners within 21 days after the end of the tournament through the League of Legends gifting system for Mystery Gifts and Summoner Icons.


9. Jurisdictions & Limitations

For this tournament, GameShard will manage EU tournaments. Whereas “management” includes record statistics, create rooms, stream, spectate, screenshot post screens, encode statistics, guide participants, and create a bracket. Registrations will be through GameShard. Prizes will be distributed by TPF.
